Learn to sew in a friendly, inspiring environment. Depending on your skill level and timeframe you will have the opportunity to learn the following;
— how to thread and use a basic hobby sewing machine
— different stitches and how to use them correctly with different fabric types
— how to follow a basic clothing pattern
— different finishing techniques and button holes
Our studio is complete with all the materials and inspiration you need to get started on your sewing journey. The hours for private lessons are Tuesday - Thursday 11-5. About the teacher:
Mariah is the owner of Wilder Goods and has a background in textile arts with a BA in Clothing, Textiles and Design from the University of Idaho. Over the years she has experimented with design in many mediums, including fiber dyeing and printing, metalsmithing, sewing, web and graphic design and more. She grew up crafting with her mother and finds working with her hands a practice in mindfulness. Most recently, she runs the Wilder shop and studio and makes her own line of fiber and clay jewelry.
